Maggie didn't even bother wiping the tears off her cheeks. THERE WAS NO TIME! Everything around her didn't matter. All that mattered was her wand, Hady and winning this duel. Her heart was racing and she could literally feel the adrenaline pumping through her veins. Mixed with the exhilaration she felt when BOTH spells actually hit Hady, she felt invincible for a moment.

That is, until she had to jump out of the way to avoid the spell coming her way.

Somehow the movement of jumping – or probably, rather, the LANDING on the ground again – had brought back the feeling in her side. And shoulder area. Maggie gasped. It was bad. It hurt really really REALLY bad. She slowly walked backwards as if she could just sidestep the pain. Obviously that didn't work.

"Ex-" Breathe. Even forming words was hard like this. Maggie closed her eyes briefly before taking a deep breath and trying again. "Expelliarmus!" It was one of the basic spells, one they'd been practicing A LOT this term. It was also probably why it had come to mind right now.

There was no tactic behind her actions anymore.
