She stepped forward. "I'll be on Gabe's team--" she smiled at Sophie and winked as she stepped over towards him.
And.
Now.
DId she talk to Gabe? DId she...whaaat? WHAT DID SHE DO NOW? Ugh. So she just cleared her throat and...tried her best to seem normal..."We can totally win this, Banner..."
Yeah, so normal.

Okay, so as far as the heads of the teams Benzi assumed it was pretty clear which one he liked more. But, then again, it would be great fun to hit Sophie Brown in the face with a great splotch of blue paint. And he had a feeling Crazy Eyes could be a good person to have on his team, mostly because he was pretty sure she used those insane orbs she called eyes in her Legilimency practices to get people off guard then BAM, instant access to a person's thoughts. So no, no thanks, he'd like Crazy Eyes on his team please. Better have that face be directed at someone else.
"I'll be team blue," he nodded, and walked over to stand with Eden and the prefect. Yes, come on everyone, chop chop. This would be all sorts of fun and entertaining.

This was already stressful. Gabe was STRESSED. Did they see that? It was written all over the Seventh Year's face.
.......but if Eden was deciding she wanted to play nice...and if this rude new, yet NOT new, person wanted to work with him...Well, he wasn't really in a position to turn it down, was he? No, no....Gabe wasn't.
Offering both Ravenclaws a subtle nod, he looked towards those still assembled. As a rule, he wasn't one to be vocal about these things...or most other things. So, it was awkward trying to do so now. And Gabe was an awkward turtle. It's just WHO he was. No helping that issue.
"Would anyone else like to join us?"....because he could do strategy. Yep. Also, were they getting Mr. Kitridge....since Professor Tanner had made her choice? A fishy choice, at that. Gabe wasn't a believer in the 'girl power' stuff. It was better to have a mix.
Equality, essentially.
