SPOILER!!: Dexter and Eden

Cole kicked at Dexter a mix of both playful and annoyed. "You're hilarious," he said, righting himself. He tried not to roll his eyes, as he bent over to repack the few things that had fallen out of his bag. It was then that he heard Eden call his name, but he took a moment to closed his bag securely before turning to her.

So when he finally did.... she was hugging all over Dexter. He blinked a little bit as it registered what was about to.. or at least could have.. happened. It took him a second to snap out of it, once Eden began to babble and he moved around Dexter to stand near her.

"Honestly," he said, nudging Dexter out of the way, "I'm surprised that it hadn't happened earlier." But thank merlin she hadn't kissed him. He was sure Dexter would have been insufferable about it. Maybe, he thought, he and Eden needed to revive that codeword they'd joked about last year.

You know.. just in case Dexter got any ideas.
