It was with a heavy heart that Healer Murdoch walked into the Slytherin Common Room this evening. As much as she hated having to make this announcement, it was something that had to be done. Her students needed to know what was going on.

Standing just inside the Common Room entrance she didn't waste any time with what she had to say. She didn't even look behind her to see if Professor Bellaire was there or not.

"Attention Students!

I'm sure you are all wondering why the school has been placed on immediate lock-down this evening. I'm here to inform you that one of your very own housemates, Gregoire Bastion has lost his life due to an unfortunate incident in the FORBIDDEN FOREST. Until further notice, students are only allowed outside of the common room to go to classes and to eat meals in the Great Hall. Absolutely no one will be allowed out on the grounds at this time. Anyone caught sneaking around where they should not be WILL face dire consequences." Taking a deep breath she looked around the room. "For those of you that want to talk to someone about this, I will be in my office all day tomorrow. Please feel free to stop by."

Not waiting for questions or comments from the students, she turned and left the common room. There were just so many things she needed to do right now.
