Evie was scribbling things into her notebook when this was announced, but she quickly got up from her seat as everyone got partnered up. This was the hard thing about being new. Most people were able to partner up with their friends really fast. Evie looked around for a lone somebody until her eyes landed on the prefect she had met at the bookstore.
"I do," she said with a small smile, raising her hand as if to say 'pick me'. Because she didn't want to get stuck with the professor, either. No offense to her. |
