His brow rose hearing that giggle sort of sound - it was as if they weren't really Ryden and Orlando. They were someone else.
It was a nice feeling, he decided. When she settled her hands near his face, Orlando's head turned to look down at her - because the height difference still remained. "Me too. I wasn't so sure how I would feel but I think I like it" he replied, looking around to see Neptune join the dance floor. He passed her a smile before turning to look at Ryden again, "so what have you been upto?" Slow dancing with Orlando Renaldi at the Hogwarts reunion party of 2085.
Nothing about that sounded remotely like something Ryden would usually be a part of, not even if she was clearly enjoying herself and apparently Orlando was too.
But then he a started making conversation and Ryden couldn't help but laugh, dropping her gaze down to look at their surprisingly in sync footsteps. All right, she'd play. "I'm actually finished with my studies... So I'm looking for something to do once again. Any ideas? I now have two degrees to prove I'm good at magic," she said, keeping her voice even and not betraying the fact that she's been doing virtually nothing for months now and it was killing her.
She just didn't know what she wanted. She also chose that moment to look back up, and therefore missed the exchange with Neptune completely. "How's your photography going?" There, that was a much better subject to talk about with your super ancient yet not so much ancient but still very much your ex-boyfriend. Or whatever Orlando was to her these days. The guy that just kept popping up all over the place was also an apt description.
