Earlier that morning a large shipment of new editions of school textbooks and literature had arrived. Leo had spent most of the morning carrying out the tedious work of labelling each book and adding his usual selection of protective spells. When the young brown haired boy entered with Cassie just a step or two after him Leo was trying to not get chewed on as he was trying to close the new extended edition of the Monster Book of Monsters a feat he had been trying to achieve for the last half hour or so.

A battle he wasn’t exactly winning. Sweat creasing his forehead he begged the brown haired boy as he stepped up to the counter. "Can you please stroke the spine of the book gently? I need you toooooooo do that before the book's monsters decide to chew my arm off." Merlin, why had nobody removed this book from the curriculum yet? It was almost as dangerous as the guide on snakes that if you weren’t careful could give you a poisonous sting.

Flashing a glance in Cassie's direction he asked trying no loose his grip on the book "Can you please find my wand? I must have dropped it beneath the already labelled books to the right of the counter." He pleaded with a head nudge in the direction of the book pile.
