A Poop * k8 * Ember could understand that, though. She nodded as she slowly got her excitement down. "Yeah..I mean..when I was still in school, I would get that way with my school work...my poor, poor roommates," she said, shaking her head and laughing a little. The amount of times she had shut herself in her room in their dorm was...ridiculous.
The older woman seemed..Ember didn't know how to put it...sad? At least in her eyes. She wanted to hug her and offer to bake her cookies and whatnot! Maybe even babysit--Ember did enjoy children, and she thought she heard Vic say something about having them? Hmm. And wow..six years? Ember laughed. "Thats a very long time--props to you for sticking it out, yeah?" She said, beamy-beamy on her face. Her body shifted and she turned her neck to look at the receptionist desk..and waved, just to be NICEEE and then looked back at Vic, smiling. "SOrry--I just--I want to make sure people know they're noticed, you know?" she said, and she shrugged.
So she only enjoyed her first name? Hmm. "Maroon is a nice color. ALMOST what I dyed my hair instead of THIS loveliness--" she waved her head around and took a strand of the very blue hair in her fingers. "Buuuut I like turqoise--it's my favorite--" it really was. As if you couldn't TELL.
She waved her hands--pretty name? Riiigt. Stupid name. Stupid HIPPY name. Ember Brighten. Ugh. At least it fit her personality, right?
She shrugged. "but you're high up enough to be considered...important, ma'am," she said politely, smiling away and thinking about where she could eat at for lunch. Her stomach was rumbling--quietly, though--and she hadn't had time to pack lunch this morning. "The food court here good?" she asked, running her fingers through her hair. |
