A sigh and footsteps. The sounds heard within the silences between the pauses in Simon's scribbles. The auror didn't look up though, not sure he was in the mood to see anyone at the moment. It was only when the familiar voice was added to the mix that the former Gryffindor acknowledged his best friend's presence at his desk with a sigh.
"Its going..." he answered, chancing to allow his gaze to raise up to see his friend. Or friends if his vision was to be believed since there was almost two Joshs. "It would be better if my head didn't feel it did when Blunt got a lucky shot with one of his bludger hits." That was certainly what it reminded Simon of and he had to admit, the reporter shared some qualities with the Ravenclaw. And his pain relief spell had only worked partway as he couldn't focus completely. he had managed to conjure some ice and cloth which he held to the back of his head with his free hand.
"Do I even want to know what was said after I left?" he cautiously asked as he set down his quill and leaned back in his chair with another sigh. His eyes half-closed to ease the discomfort.
