GULP.
Yeah, he was scared. What was he thinking when he agreed to this? ... Mainly that it would be great to hang out with Hulk since they hadn't since... Carter's wedding? With the awkward dance. And Tag causing a fuss because he insisted on sitting next to Alec. A small smile spread across Alec's face as he sloooooowly made his way into the duelling arena. That had been an awesome day.
Grey-blue eyes scanned the arena, his hands massaging his lower back. It still hurt, that did. And the throbbing pain he was getting near his knees weren't helping. Why was this place so far away from the Great Hall, again? He didn't like that. Wincing a little, the Head Boy reached up and over his head before streeeeeeeeetching. Might as well lumber up before the Gryffindor Captain got here, yeah? Because he wanted to give this duel his all, even if he knew, deep down inside, that there wouldn't be any winning against Alice. Stretch... stretch...
... and that was enough for today.
... So... where was the Gryffindor Captain?
It was near impossible to duel well on an empty stomach, so her first stop that morning had been for snack fetching. Alice had seriously considered bringing something for opponent too, but she wasn't meant to be NICE to him today, yes? Plus Romanos might hex her head off if she caught them eating in her arena, so... no. Food for her. And none for Alec Summers, bye.
Trying to ignore the painful throbbing of her knee, she appeared behind the Head Boy while he stretched. Hmm. Did she have to do that? Bending any of her limbs in unnatural ways would be difficult for her body, which tired far too quickly as of late, so Alice opted to just watch him instead.
"Hi." Was he ready? She was ready. Very ready.
Full tummies and large egos did good things to her confidence.
