"What we think of ourselves and what we are, are two entirely different things though... We can change how we think about ourselves within seconds but we can hardly change who we are that quickly. That would be ridiculously hard..." She said and looked at the girl. Melek raised an eyebrow, "Do you really mean to say ages? I mean have you not have one since a certain age? Like since maybe age 11? Because in ages means there has to at least be 2 ages... though it could be more than 2 since you didnt specify ages by saying a couple -which means 2- or a few -which means 3 or more- or even a lot -which means like 8 or so- though you could have been figuratively saying ages and using an exaggeration or a hyperbole..." Melek trailed off and started to think about it.

"Okay, you love all sweets but these are your favorite?" She gestured to the chocolate frog. "Then why did you say that all sweets were your favorite? Did you misspeak?" Mel eyed the girl and watched for a few moments. Melek started to munch her own chocolate frog as her mind started to wander again, to think about their conversation which seemed really confusing to her because of how the girl spoke and contradict herself.

"Age isnt a way to determine how to treat a child though... Maturity is more important though age does play a factor..." Melek shrugged, "I guess it should count for something but I am not the one to decide... your parents are..." A sigh escaped the girl's lips. "Have you talked to your parents about this? Maybe if you vent to them, then they might be willing to let you try to be more mature which would lead to being able to go off on your own or whatever you are griping about."

"He." She corrected, "Our potions master is a male... and one that doesnt like the female kind... He is totally trying to get Ravenclaw to lose or just the girl Ravenclaws..." Yep, she is holding a grudge over him and will do anything to annoy the professor.
