But Karina need not bother with the invitation for Broni had already invited herself over to their table. Mischa looked at her coldly. They were the only seventh years chosen to represent their school and that only enhanced their rivalry. But it was not so intense that they did not address one another. He even knew the girl had a thing for him. Why was she interrupting him and Karina? Didn't she have better things to do? Like preparing for the second task.
When she spoke, Mischa merely took a sip of his butterbeer though he acknowledged her presence with a nod. Karina was addressing her anyway. He kept his face impassive even though the mention of Strom sent guilt waves flooding through him for the second time.
Mischa shrugged off the feeling but not before another wave of jealosy hit him at Karina's words that she was unable to find Strom. If she had Strom would likely been here instead of him. Once more he tried to push this away as well.
Instead the seventh year forced himself to turn his full attention to Broni and her reply.
