Well, he was OBVIOUSLY smarter than Sophie though. That was obvious. He didn't need Cutty to tell him that.

"I'm not discriminating against them, necessarily, I just don't find them particularly...I dunno...important," he explained. "Once they prove me otherwise, I can accept that they're in the weakest of the houses," he said. It wasn't a secret that Slytherin was the best and Hufflepuff was, by far, the worst. Their damn loyalty was always getting them into trouble. That was why Caleb found no use for them - yet.
