"Elixir to Induce Euphoria. It is used to cause irrational happiness upon the drinker."

Causing people to become inexplicably happy did seem like a lot of fun. Plus Nigel did not think the potion was too difficult. Nigel did hope that Felix Felicis won. Liquid Luck did sound awesome.

The girl raised her hand.
"Professor Lafay, Antidote for Common Poisons is one of my favorites." Would it have something to do with the fact she had worked as babysitter to Lafay during last Summer? Of course not, she had never felt afraid of being poisoned by the teacher... no, no, no... Annabeth repeated it to herself, afraid that the teacher could read her mind. She took some time before adding, "I think Cure for Boils will also be very useful for us." She pointed one finger to a big red point on her right cheek.

It just wasn't the same since the ice cream here had been messed with.

Anyway, what was her favorite potion? After thinking about it for a minute or two, her hand went up.

"My favorite is the Dresden Draught, Professor. It enables the drinker to stay awake and concentrate better on whatever they are doing." Which...was extremely useful when you found yourself trying to do a million and one things during the day.

Well, still better to make an attempt at getting her ideas out there and- had two people already said Polyjuice Potion? Really? Adrienne had never tried the stuff, of course, but it looked absolutely disgusting, and from what she'd read transformations could be incredibly painful. No, thank you. Hopefully they'd be outnumbered.

Hmm... favourite potion. Adrienne had a few, but she should probably only list one, as Lafay tended to be rather literal in her questions and she'd only asked for a singular favourite potion. "How about Erumpent Potion?" Not particularly useful, just kind of awesome. "It explodes when it touches things," she added as its uses. Why would you need that? Adrienne had no idea, but she was sure she could find something to do with a liquid explosion.

But the lesson was about to start. Favourite potion? What they'll be brewing in class today. That was awesome. Kat thought of a potion she liked best, which was a bit hard because she had a lot to choose from. Like Polyjuice, Fameludos, and those interesting ones. It took her a while to choose one potion, even if it was part of a tie of her favourite potions... which was pretty much everything. She liked Potions and it was hard to choose just one. "Magical fireworks. It's not exactly a potion, but I guess the name already speaks for itself. The potion will make magical fireworks and we don't have to ignite a flame in order for it to work." It was something she'd like to brew since hadn't really brewed it before so she was taking this chance.

They could make some of that and then they could all go play Quodpot, yes? ...No. That was probably a no go also.

Oh? Oh? What was this? Cat turned her glance to the other Kat and grinned. "Magical Fireworks sounds like a good favorite to me, professor." In fact, it was now her new favorite. Nod. She was going with the Head Girl on this one.

Having already been seated and comfortable, his eyes ventured to the board as the chalk began to write on its own. ..Hmm? Favorite potion.. His brows furrowed for a moment. There wasn't a lot of potions he could remember taking often, let alone be his favorite. His face looked around the class as he heard a few mentions.. Wait. After seeing his best ruffling mate, Wade rose his hand, "There's.. the Sleekeazy's Hair potion. Makes your hair more manageable." Not that he needed it, heh. But it was the first that he thought of.

She thought about how useful the Draught of Peace would be for her, she knew she had a temper, but she wanted to make something more... interesting. Finally she decided on a very interesting potion.

"Well, Felix Felicis would be really cool to learn how to make," she said with a slight grin and a glint in her eye. Then she thought of the actual potion she was asking to make. "Um, well, I've heard that that's a really tough potion... so if we can't do that one, then how about Invisibility Potion?" she asked brightly. Invisibility was almost as good as Felix Felicis, and could be really useful too.

Listening to Professor Hecate. Tag didn't know too many potions off the back of his hand but there was one that a Ravenclaw seemed to have said that caught Tag's attention. "Felix Felicis." He said smiling and pointing at the younger girl. "It's a luck potion. An, who doesn't want luck?"

Luck for life stuff, luck for school, luck with friends. It was an all around good thing. Hopefully. But maybe too much luck....

Also, maybe he needed Felix Felicis. For a leprechaun he had not the greatest luck in the world.

Apart from one, of course.

"That Polyjuice Potion." That was it's name, right? "Pretty cool." Theo's hand lazily flopped onto his desk. He heard people talking about the luck potion and daaaaang, that was a good one, why hadn't he said that?

Unlike the man who forced beards on all students. Her forehead creased slightly at the horrible memory. She pushed it to the back of her mind then turned her full attention back on the lesson trying to think what was her favorite potion.

She had a couple of choices on her mind but since there were quite a couple mentioned she decided to back up ones that had already been brought up rather than suggesting a new one.

"The Magical fireworks one is cool," She said. Slytherin girls thing, yeah?

She didn't mind the other mentioned ones like the polyjuice potion and the Felix Felicis, those two were quite cool as well. Same for the hair one.

HMPF.

"Yeah, Polyjuice Potion is a great thing," Benzi stated with his hand raised. He wasn't really sure he'd be able to MAKE said potion, but it would still be really cool to get a head's start on learning how to do it.

Alec REALLY didn't like that one.

Before he could do so much as face at the memory, the sound of a familiar voice was heard, making him turn his head. HAIR POTION? The boy full on GRINNED at his best hair ruffling mate when he mentioned the hair potion. Trust Wade to think of hair at a time like this. See, why didn't he think of that? Mental hair ruffles for you, Curly Wade.

But... question. Could he just... name one that hadn't been mentioned? One that he liked, somewhat? "Professor?" he started, raising his hand in the air, "There's the Wiggenweld Potion! It's a healing potion! And... and it helps to awaken people from magically induced sleep." Also... did she say that the most popular one would be taught in the lesson? AWESOME.

... Wait... which potion had been mentioned the most?

He didn't sound particularly excited about it... but at least he was polite.

And then class started. West was surprised at some of the answers given, since she had said whatever had the most likes would be taught in today's class... and some of those took too long, or were too difficult, and just wouldn't be taught unless they were theory, and what was the fun in that? He supposed he could be smart and choose one that had been chosen to increase its chances of being brewed, but West felt disagreeable in general, and polyjuice didn't sound like fun to him in his current mindset.

He put his hand up. "My favourite is probably the fameludos draught, because it increases endurance and stamina, and the fake fire illusion that it produces is cool, Professor."

Hand down.

So Raven went with her second choice "Felix Felicis is probably my favorite." Who wouldn't love luck and happiness? "It seems kind of like the magic ice cream of last term, just it wears out and you can accomplish real goals."

The majority were already saying polyjuice. Lex had her favourite, of course she did but at this rate it'd never win, might as well help another cool one win, yeah? Lex raised her hand. "Polyjuice! Yes! Let's do that one!" Of course....who would she wanna look like? Could she be Cassia? The girl had a nice face--oh oh oh! Or she could be Theo and mock him for a while. She could probably out Theo him if she tried and he'd never hit her for it...she didn't think he could bring himself to hitting his own face.

If polyjuice didn't win then fireworks had to on account of explosions and she liked those a lot.

They could keep them afterward and the homework would be something epic, explosive, spectacular. On second thought...she wanted the fireworks. Could she change her vote? Was it too late?

No?

He heard other ideas and the one idea that stood out to him was the Felix Felicis. He wanted a potion that would make him lucky one day. He raised his hand, "Professor i would like to make the Felix Felicis! That sounds like a cool potion to make!"

He considered some of the other options. What did they really have time for? Nothing he could suggest that would win at this point. Shrug shrug shrug. "Volubilis Potion, professor."

Huxley nodded demurely at the Potions Mistress. She was pretty confident with her organizing skills, but would always welcome if the Professor wanted to shift a few things around.

And now the class was starting, of which the first question got this Ravenclaw to nearly drop her jaw. They could suggest any potion and the Professor would teach them that today? And doth her hearing deceive her or is a certain potion's name echoing gleefully around the room? Suddenly it was Christmas morning "I am also keen to learn the Polyjuice potion Professor. It would certainly provide an opportunity to develop certain skills sets such as patience and precision which are desirable traits in future Potioneers."
[/QUOTE]

"So it sounds as if polyjuice is the potion to brew..." She told the class. "Does anyone remember what the ingredients were in it?"
