"I was going to do something for her birthday soon, because it must suck to have your first birthday away from home and all, so soon into the year, too. We could have a little party for her." PARTY. "Birthday?" That certainly caught Mo's attention, as he suspected Cat would realize. He rested his cheek against the top of her head as he considered how hard it would be on the bully-baby to be at school without her family and knowing it was her special day.
Poor bully-baby. "Okay. We'll have a party for her. You make cake, we'll both bring presents, and I'll plan... some sort of adventure. You'll help." He made a bossy face at her. She was
helping. But not today. "I should get back to tryouts. Kiss goodbye?"
