After his lessons that day, he'd gone to dump his school bag in his dormitory and retrieved the neatest, and most special, letter he'd ever written. Tobias hadn't even wanted to fold it and put it in his pocket for fear that it might get damaged and creased. So he held it against his chest instead, the side with the writing on flat against his chest. He wanted Botros to be the first person to read it, after all.
As he reached the waiting area outside the Runes professor's office, Tobias noted the box next to the door. NOPE. This letter was personal delivery only, not anonymous. Plus, he wanted a chat with the Professor about being The Best That He Could Be.
After giving a cheerful-sounding knock at the door, Tobias sat at one of the couches and picked up one of the books in his free hand and started reading through it. Even still, he constantly fidgeted and his feet tapped out a rhythm on the floor whilst the fingers on the hand that held the letter flat against him tapped out a complimentary rhythm on his chest. There was no way he was sitting still.
Uniform-wise, Tobias had just had a full day's bouncing and fidgeting, so he was kind of untidy as per usual, top button undone, tie obviously loosened and a bit crooked. He wasn't wearing the sweater (it was still September!) and his shirt was untucked. But this was how Tobias often went around the school, and lessons were over for the day. Would Botros mind? Hopefully not... it was really hard to fidget and bounce AND keep an immaculate uniform. Botros wasn't at the office that evening, he was out all day in Hogsmeade, doing some business and contacting a few friends here and there. He came back earlier than he thought he would in the evening and his cane had this dull and heavy sound hitting the stony floor as he approached his office. His Crup wasn't around, the librarian was kind enough to take care of him for the day.
The little boy sitting in the seating area was not noticed until the old man opened the office's door and turned his head to see if someone had dropped a letter. "Blimey, I didn't see you there kid. Good evening, would you come in? I could use some sitting-down time." Whatever the boy wanted, they could do it sitting down, right? Botros hoped so. Quote:

She walked on light happy feet and knocked a musical little raprapraprap, rap onto his door. Botros was writing a letter to someone when the door was knocked in an entertaining rhythm. He raised his head and opened the door with his wand, "Come on in." |
