| | The Corridor outside professor Botros' office As you walk through the corridor, passing the creepy spirit room and ignoring the portraits' conversation among each other, you'll encounter a turn to your left where the scene will change entirely. Here, you'll find much more lit area with a double couch, and two more single ones. This marks the Ancient Runes territory. There's a vase with white flowers in the middle of this seating area. A book or two are usually scattered on top of the small table too, those are chosen by the professor for educational and entertainment purposes. Watch out though, the issue of those comic books or magazines may be way, WAY out of date talk about 30 years late.
This is the place where you pass to knock on his office's door, or wait for him to invite you inside. There's a small box next to the office's door too for you to slip a letter inside in case you needed to discuss something without revealing your identity, whether it's a dumb question, a complaint, or a suggestion. OOC: As stated above, you should post here first if you want to see the professor, then wait till I quote you to post at the office thread. If your character wants to slip a letter into that box, you should state them leaving after slipping that letter or else the professor could catch them.

| Ability is nothing without Opportunity | | Creativity is Intelligence having FUN Consulting a Professor. Now here was something she doesn’t usually get with her library habit.
Huxley made her way towards the Runes corridor, past the portraits and the Spirit room and carefully made her way towards the room where Professor Botros held office. Huxley has never met him before, and didn’t really pay much attention to what was happening at the Feast to figure out which one he was. She felt nervous, which was a bit odd from her usual demeanor. Then again it wasn’t often that she would seek advice from a veritable stranger. Well.... seek advice period.
Her gaze lingered around the seating area before turning her attention back towards the door. Knock knock. |

Okay, why was she doing this?? The third year old stared at the waiting area and saw that she wasn't the only one who was here. A girl she didn't knew was already inside the waiting area, but she didn't liked it to see the other student. She wanted to be alone!! But, she needed to do this, she NEEDED to visit the professor, she needed to prove that she could do it and that she wasn't a mean person...
With a sigh she looked at the other girl and nodded to her while she knocked on the door from the professor. When she had done that she sat down on a seat as far away as possible from the door and the other girl. "Stay inside my pocket" hissed Sonea to her two rats when she saw that they were curious what was going on.

Botros was having a nice cup of tea, a tattered long parchment laid out in front of him on his desk when his Cruppy, Feo, started jumping up and down and sprinted toward the door. The knocking was faint and the old man hadn't heard it. "What, what's going on, Feo?" The Cruppy continued bouncing, then another knock was heard. "Ah, we have visitors. Alright." The door swung open revealing two girls standing there. "Oh! Hello there, come on in." Botros smiled at them both, while his pet gave them more excited greeting, although one of the girl (Sonea) was almost tackled by the Crup. Hmm. Her pocket seemed to be attacked by the little pet, Botros wondered about that internally. HMM.. |

Having spent a LONG time on his little project for Botros over the summer and even since they'd got back to school, Tobias was now ready to visit the man. Dude? Prof?
Prof man dude?
After his lessons that day, he'd gone to dump his school bag in his dormitory and retrieved the neatest, and most special, letter he'd ever written. Tobias hadn't even wanted to fold it and put it in his pocket for fear that it might get damaged and creased. So he held it against his chest instead, the side with the writing on flat against his chest. He wanted Botros to be the first person to read it, after all.
As he reached the waiting area outside the Runes professor's office, Tobias noted the box next to the door. NOPE. This letter was personal delivery only, not anonymous. Plus, he wanted a chat with the Professor about being The Best That He Could Be.
After giving a cheerful-sounding knock at the door, Tobias sat at one of the couches and picked up one of the books in his free hand and started reading through it. Even still, he constantly fidgeted and his feet tapped out a rhythm on the floor whilst the fingers on the hand that held the letter flat against him tapped out a complimentary rhythm on his chest. There was no way he was sitting still.
Uniform-wise, Tobias had just had a full day's bouncing and fidgeting, so he was kind of untidy as per usual, top button undone, tie obviously loosened and a bit crooked. He wasn't wearing the sweater (it was still September!) and his shirt was untucked. But this was how Tobias often went around the school, and lessons were over for the day. Would Botros mind? Hopefully not... it was really hard to fidget and bounce AND keep an immaculate uniform.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Eliza Neladara Dawnsel Fifth Year | Eliza was so happy to see that Professor Botros was still going to be her Ancient Runes professor, that she made a bee line for his office the first chance she had. On her way over, she had seen that the workshop was already open, which made her even more glad that he was at Hogwarts for another term. She didn't have much to say really, but she was so relieved to see some of her favorite professors at the feast that she just couldn't refrain from giving them a quick greeting.
She walked on light happy feet and knocked a musical little raprapraprap, rap onto his door.

Hopefully not... it was really hard to fidget and bounce AND keep an immaculate uniform. Botros wasn't at the office that evening, he was out all day in Hogsmeade, doing some business and contacting a few friends here and there. He came back earlier than he thought he would in the evening and his cane had this dull and heavy sound hitting the stony floor as he approached his office. His Crup wasn't around, the librarian was kind enough to take care of him for the day.
The little boy sitting in the seating area was not noticed until the old man opened the office's door and turned his head to see if someone had dropped a letter. "Blimey, I didn't see you there kid. Good evening, would you come in? I could use some sitting-down time." Whatever the boy wanted, they could do it sitting down, right? Botros hoped so. Quote:

| be curious, not judgmental Another business visit. Sophie had made sure to clean all the lint off her robes, smooth down any fly-away hair, and make herself look as presentable as possible before her stop off on the fifth floor. She wasn't taking Ancient Runes this year, but she figured it was wise to put her foot in the door and at least introduce herself to her future professor. The Wandmaker guy had listed Ancient Runes as the first class she needed to be really good at, so she figured maybe it was most important, if it came to his mind first. Definitely an important stop, then.
Giving a few sharp knocks on the door, Sophie lowered herself into the nearest vacant chair and awaited her turn. She thought she could hear voices - or maybe the professor was talking to himself - so maybe it would be awhile before she would be let in. She could wait all day, if she had to. Though... she'd probably need to get the guy to write her a pass back to the common room if she had to stay out past curfew to speak to him, she figured. No big deal.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. A CRUP!
Sophie fell backwards as the crup jumped onto her and burst into delighted laughter. Luckily, she recognized what the creature was and had experience with them before, bless her uncle's family, otherwise she might have been a little skeptical of a creature that seemed to be attacking her. Unafraid, she gave its head a ruffle, not minding the attention - until the professor followed the crup out of the office. Sophie tried to straighten up and look less like a child having too much fun and more like a mature adult ready to have a mature, adult-like conversation.
"Hi. I'm Sophie Brown, a first year Ravenclaw." She started to offer a firm hand to shake but quickly lowered it. The man probably could've bundled the crup in one arm and extended the other to shake, but factoring in the way the crup was looking at her like it might jump at her again, she thought better of it. But she grinned down at it nonetheless and giggled a bit as its forked tail wagged.
"D'you really feed him chocolate?" Sophie asked with interest. It didn't matter, really - the crup seemed to be nicely fed and hadn't died from whatever the professor had been feeding him, at least. "What's his name? He's a cutiepie" She continued to grin at the panting crup, her fingers twitching as she wanted to reach out and pet him, but she thought better of it.

Of all the professors in the school, it seemed like Ab-Bot was the only one Mo trusted enough to come spill out his woes. Or one woe. And it was practically official school stuff, right? Still, he clutched his hands together in his lap as he waited for the professor to come and retrieve him.
The couch was fairly comfortable, and Mo flipped over the books Ab-Bot had out over and over, too distracted to read them but wanting to keep his hands busy.

Botros was walking Feo by the lake despite the frosty weather, the Crup didn't seem to mind the cold by hopping around excitedly and eating the snow off the ground. His old owner had a little issue though, now that he was back in the warm castle and soon into his warmer office, his knees were stinging and they felt heavier than an hour ago he had to lean on his cane and it clanked louder on the stony floor.
"Ah, Marco!" He greeted the boy with a warm smile, the Crup was off at the Librarian's for a while and they could talk quietly. "Fancy seeing you here. Want to come in?" Botros opened the door to his office and gestured for the Captain to walk in if he liked. |

It actually brought a smile to his face to play with the dog, but then he was up again and nodding respectfully at the professor.
"I do want to come in, sir. I was hoping we could have a man to man talk." Nod nod nod nod.

Slade Erikson Mysteries | Slytherin by heart Maika found herself outside the office, standing nervously. Her answer was the only one that was different... really really different. She couldn't get it out of her head. She should have looked at the book or something, but no, she just spoke off the top of her head without the book open when she came up with that answer. With a sigh, she timidly knocked on the door. She was too restless to sit down, so she stood there, fidgeting.

His Crup wasn't with him today, luckily. He'd use some quiet time with an overexcited pet bouncing around. A big, very old book lied in his lap when there was a knock on the door. He waved his wand and the door swung open, "Come on in," he couldn't turn around from where he sat at his armchair. It must be one of the kids, or his colleagues. Either way, they were allowed to walk into the office. |

Recently, over the past few weeks, Tag had been thinking about how some of his friends would be graduating soon, or how one of his friends would be graduating next year WHOA and that made Tag wonder about his future and what to do when his final days of being a seventh year would end.
Soooo, he needed help on that whole 'I'm gonna be an adult soon, sort of, and need guidance' type of situation. Now, Professor Botros wasn't Tag's head of house, he knew that much, but Tag did like him, and he was old wise, so Botros could have some good input. Yes? Yes.
An if things didn't work out here, Tag could always see Bently another day.
So, coming upon the corridor Tag looked around until he saw a couch just outside Botros' office. But, before sitting down on it Tag went over to the door and gently knocked on it.

April wasn't as bad as February or March. Botros' knees were improving thanks to the slightly warmer weather and he didn't even have to use the fireplace all week. He was sat behind his desk, planning for their last lesson this term when a gentle knock was heard. Feo, his small Crup, threw his bone toy away and sprinted towards the door.
"Come in." Botros' voice came from inside as the door swung open and the Crup went outside tackling the student and tugging him from his pants. |
