"Well, the most obvious way we're being green is simply the fact that all our forms of transportation - brooms, magic carpets, all that stuff - is run on magic. Muggles use that awful, dirty gasoline stuff, and it pollutes the environment. By providing our community with magic based transportation, we are eliminating the harmful effects of gasoline on the environment," she said with a smile.
"Now what we COULD be doing...well, I suppose we could recycle more," she said, thinking of the pile of Witch Weekly's she had sitting on her desk that were piling up every week. "And throw out more unused documents to save trees or something," she said with a shrug.
Laura jotted down the department head's answers as she listened to them come in a hurried hand, nodding here and there at what Ms. Schultz was saying. She had gotten more in-depth about how her department was handling things more than others she had spoken to, who had preferred to speak on their own behalves, but it was nevertheless useful information, Laura supposed.
"Excellent. Thank you for your time, Ms. Schultz. I know you must be a busy woman," she said, packing up her clipboard and whipping out a
flier to hand to the department head.
