"My brother is starting Hogwarts this September." Lottie didn't know why she said it, but, oh well.

"I don't know," he shrugged. "I say I want to go to the beach and my sister - her boyfriend, actually - takes us there. And he said I could take Lex, too, so I did." It was good having connections like that. To people who apparated you places. And bought you food. And other things.

Aidan expected her to be finished right there. She stayed in London. Okay. That was enough, really. He could assume the friends thing on his own. And, of course Lex was in the mix. But...Ascanius? The Ravenclaw froze for a second.

Lottie was friends with Ascanius. Like friends friends. Like the kind you hang out with out of Hogwarts. In the summer.

UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGHHH.

He tried to play it cool, but obviously tensed up. It was a good thing Lottie changed the subject, because he couldn't think of anything to say. But even then, she just killed his mood. "...Cool."
