Tobias had never seen a plimpy before. Sure, there were pictures in some of his textbooks and he had a VAGUE idea of what they were, but... yeah. Now they were HERE. The Hufflepuff had just assumed the bowls were full of fish when he'd passed by here earlier, but now he'd actually taken a second glance and was FASCINATED by what he saw. Plus they were COLOURFUL.
That, in the end, was what made Toby LEEEEEEEEAN in all directions to try and get a closer look, what with all the people at the stall. So many colours to SEE. He was perhaps a little too dazzled, for when Tobias was leaning all the way left to try and watch the antics of a particularly interesting plimpy, he lost his balance and realised all to late that he had leaned too far.
The boy flailed and crashed to the ground, kind of turning himself in mid-air so that he wouldn't hit a nearby kid. He THOUGHT he missed her, or she could have noticed and dodged, but still... to be sure...
"Sorry! Sorry!" Tobias directed his rushed apologies to the would be victim as he clambered back up to his feet. "I didn't knock into you, did I?" Genuine concern was in his voice. She looked slightly smaller than him, so he had to make sure.
If he hurt her he would steal ALL THE PLIMPIES as an I'M SO SORRY gift.
Sophie had just craned her neck enough to get a good look, when she felt this sudden blow in her side. Well, it was less of a blow and more like a run-in with something. What, she didn't know, because in the next second, she was wide-eyed an flailing her arms to try and get her balance. This was
not going to end well for her, was it?
In the end, she landed on her behind sitting straight up on the ground. OW. Who in the name of Merlin wanted a chance for a plimpy
that badly? She frowned and looked around, trying to see one, if anybody might have seen this fall, and two, who caused it in the first place.
...and when she found him, he was asking if he knocked into her? Umm, gee, let me see. I'm on the ground, no longer standing, and there's a bit of dirt on my once clean clothes. What did he THINK?! Still, he was apologizing, so she guessed it was okay. Even if her pride was wounded a little. Or a lot.
"Erm, yeah, but it's alright," she said, pushing herself off the ground. She brushed the dirt off then looked to make sure her mom wasn't running over there to embarrass her any further. Nope. She was clear.
It was only then that she got a good look at the boy. He looked older than her, but maybe not by much. She tried to crack a small smile for him.
"You really wanted that plimpy, didn't you?" she asked.
