Right. Do NOT think about the card she was about to call out. Think about anything else. Think about Beezus...
While he tried to force himself to think about stuff, it seemed increasingly harder to actually just focus on Honey Bee. His mind was rebelling against him or something, seeing as all it wanted to do was anticipate and prepare.
Bleh...This wasn't Quidditch, brain. Merlin...
Beezus, Beezus, Beezus...
...and then she'd said it...and he felt like a sitting duck...as he his mind automatically jumped to...
RED!.............
SOMETHING RED. SHE'S SAID RED!
Epic. Fail.
The ludegopuff seemed to be taunting him behind the glass as it looked up at him...or Dylan assumed it was looking up at him. It was hard to tell, really. The hair was kinda making it's eyes...hidden and stuff.
UGH. He'd do better next time...
The creatures didn't have long lifespans, hmm? Well, that was truly a shame....Not that it had anything at all to do with the here and now. Dylan wanted it to FAIL. He wanted himself to succeed, of course.
#SlytherinAmbition
The ludegopuff sat idle as they both awaited each others reactions. He was trying to think of ANYTHING else...OH! Tuning the Professor out. He could TOTALLY do that. He tried to imagine that Professor Romanos was his mother...and that she was fussing about him not eating or something. No, no...She was fussing about him being rude to his grandmother...who'd insinuated he didn't like girls.
Stupid woman was a troll.
He vaguely heard something about something
Blue... Blue! like
Ravenclaw... Blue! like
Beezy Weezy... Damn.
Dylan poked himself in the forehead. He needed his brain to either cooperate or shove off...The ludegopuff was mocking him for his weakness. He could see the judgment in his hairy face.
SPOILER!!: Green!

Having finally found her little birdie, she scooped up the mechanical creature and held onto her. The students didn't need her distracting them, regardless of the fact that they should be...distracting themselves...from the shapes she called out. Ahem. Glancing to her watch, Medea frowned momentarily. Goodness, where did the time go?
Next shape! "GREEN CIRCLE!"
OKAY. There was NO WAY he was going to give in this time. It was just extremely difficult for his Quidditch brain to not want to immediately zero in and focus on something. It was like hunting the snitch. At the first sight of it, he was OFF...and usually vigorously lately. He'd gotten so much better at catching that blasted ball.
Right. Ahem.
...Back to tuning her out? More Quidditch thinking? More Beezy Weezy thinking? Which reminded him...Dylan hadn't really seen his girlfriend around in a few days. Normally he wouldn't worry about it so much...but with things....being how they were for her....Ahem. Anything could have happened...and the Slytherin would've been none the wiser.
He'd need to accost a Ravenclaw. That needed to happen...Not Elise, though. He hated that female. McCarthy was okay...but there was a chance that weird-O Puffer girl would be clinging to his arm. So, that was a
'No'...Blue? Blue would know what was going on...or Branxton. Dylan cringed at the thought of asking that boy anything, though...
Blink.
Wait...
Had he successfully thought!talked himself through the last thing Professor Romanos had called out?
