Ivy returned the smirk when he even bowed for her. What a gentleman he was. "Thank you, kind sir," she said as she took a seat in the chair provided, flashing a lovely smile at Erik. Her eyes briefly wandered around the room. Where was everyone?

His comment amused her. Was she acting like a queen? Erik was her... sort-of date, wasn't he? Even if he wasn't, he probably seemed like one to anyone paying attention. She was just helping him keep up his reputation. Or something.

"That may be true," she said, scooting in her chair herself, "but I do appreciate your acceptance of my royalty." Ivy smiled again, her smirk showing through. She knew that probably wasn't what he meant, but oh well. A casual twist of words never hurt anyone.
