This was weird.
She tried to think back. What had she been doing right before she'd arrived in this blank state, where only her thoughts about jelly beans could be remembered. UMMM. Quidditch! That was it! She was a beater, right? That means she could have missed the bludger? That seemed so unlikely though, she hardly ever missed. What else could it be?
OUCH.
Bliss gritted her teeth, or tried to. She could feel pain in her leg, A LOT of pain. Why was that? Why couldn't she remember anything that had happened? Why could she only she jelly beans. Hmmmm, jelly beans, happy place, West, jelly beans, Blue, jelly beans, West, jelly beans, West, West. She tried to block out the increasing pain with thoughts about all of those happy things. Would that work?

Like really, really weird.
That was one of the million and one thoughts that were running through Alec's head as he helped Terry carry Bliss up from the Quidditch Pitch. The two boys lay Bliss down across a couple of chairs before moving to the side slightly. He... didn't really understand what had happened down at the Pitch. But then again, that wasn't exactly anything new. His usual pursuits after the Snitch meant that he generally didn't pay attention to anything else that happened. And that was exactly what had happened today. He had paid a little too much attention to a certain golden ball and... then this happened.
And he felt bad about that.
He also felt bad for not being able to tell Terry much of what had happened down at the pitch. But she was found with the bat near her. And she had been trying out for Beater, right? The bat's connection with the girl's head and the fall put together had led to... this. It was... really sad, actually. Yeah.
Alec moved towards Terry and patted him on the back before moving to sit down next to Ells. His eyes moved towards Ella's face and then down at her hands. Yeah... she wasn't liking this, was she? Though he doubted whether anyone would like it if something like this happened. Especially to one of their closest friends; or best friend, in Terry's case. Alec moved his hand towards hers and he just held them, giving them a small, gentle squeeze. Yeah... nothing needed to be said.
Well this wasn't good. Not good at all. It was never good seeing an unconscious child being brought into the infirmary.
Looking at the crowd around the girl, Healer Tillstorm randomly chose one of them to go to
Observation Room 1 with them.
"You," she said looking at Alec,
"come with me, the rest of you wait out here." They didn't need a huge crowd back there at this time.
Without waiting for anyone to say anything at all, she levitated the girl off the chairs and took her to the healing area.
