"Aye, she is a good captain," he found himself musing aloud in agreement. And she'd be good where she was going as well.
And then Alice turned to him to say goodbye to him as well. "Thank ye Alice." A Hufflepuff prefect and the badger captain entered the compartment, starting to even out the house numbers. Or at least make them not all Gryffindors. "Hi Alexa..." The girl had been one of the first he had run into on the platform at the start of term with an example of her trickster nature. At least she had seemed to get a little better over the course of the year. Gideon returned the smile to Penelope before finally regaining his own voice.
"Aww good-bye to ye three too. Though who knows...we might just all see each other again The statement once a Gryffindor is always true after all." Cue soft smile to keep the happiness around.
Milton arrived, looking a bit better then expected but then Gideon had only heard of the other boy's adventures from others. He added to the Ravenclaw number alongside Vivi. "Ease off there with that comment, Shacklebolt." What did have against Lions and Badgers? Other than loosing both cups to Hufflepuff, of course. But Gryffindor wasn't responsible for that happening.
Were there really no snakes here? he mused to himself looking around. However his attention was returned to the door when Kurumi finally entered the compartment. With Walnut the wonder kitty right alongside. Who knew the feline's peeing would be so drama filled? Gideon shook his head as she seemed to be concerned as to why the girls were all here. "Nae...nothing wrong. "
Seeing Selina with Alice's letter, Gideon was reminded of the gift he still had in the satchel slung over his shoulder. His only belongings carried along with him. Just a little something he wanted to give his friend before things got crazy with both their lives. But maybe the prefect compartment wasn't the best place especially with every other lion around. It wasn't as if they didn't have the whole train ride....right?
The more he stood there not asking what they were doing in the prefect's compartment was the more she was beginning to like her prefect..well...former prefect. Shame they never got to hang out much--he was far less a worrier than Kurumi was! Extra points for him.
She smiled a bit when he said they'd meet again. It seemed all the seventh years liked using that one line and you know...it was starting to annoy her but at least it meant that he was considering keeping in touch. Good. Everyone needed to keep in touch with everybody because they all faced a man eating plant and an angry!ghost and they all lived to tell about it! If that wasn't reason enough to keep in touch then she didn't know what was!
"You bet we will! I'm sure you'll be all over Diagon Alley now that you're allowed and junk but if you're not then you should send me an owl whenever you will be...just uh...don't bothering owling me if it's during the school year and I can't come...yeah...that'd just make me all kinds of crazy." And not the good kind either!
Think about that Gideon. Think very carefully!

He? ...Oh, did Alexa mean Spot? "She, actually," Penelope corrected with a small laugh. "I'm sure Felix knows you love him best though, yeah?" Since he was Alexa's cat after all. Owners always loved their cat the best. Spot was definitely Penelope's favorite cat, at least.
But then the subject of "saying good-bye" to Selina was brought up again. So even people who weren't on the team apparently knew something she didn't? Wow. "Wasn't even aware I was saying good-bye to her," she answered, voice a bit flat. Seriously what was going on?
Penelope paused long enough to listen to what Gideon said...and she supposed he was right. Or hoped he was anyway. It would be nice to see those who were graduating again, even if it wasn't at Hogwarts. "Hope so," she replied with a nod.
And then she finally turned to Selina, eyeing her now instead of Alice. She wasn't entirely sure how to approach this subject since she was the one who was out of the loop and had no idea what was going on. But what else was new? And apparently she'd have to be direct if she wanted answers.
"So why do we need to say good-bye to you?" Stare.
"Oh. She." Mellow.
"I knew that..." This wouldn't be the first time she messed up a creature's gender and it probably wouldn't be the last time, knowing her.
"Well she is still very much adorable." Nod nod nod.
"And of course he knows he's my favourite but that doesn't make him any less jealous. I think he got that from me!" BEAM. It could happen. The kid was selfish so why wouldn't it transfer to her pet? Stranger things have happened.
So she didn't know? Awesome because Lex was just as clueless.
"I didn't know either but Alice said she had to say goodbye to her and Kurumi so I figured that you'd be wanting to do the same once you were in here--isn't she a sixth year though...?" The last she checked ONLY 7th YEARS left. What in merlin's beard was going on?!?!?
Did everyone think it was cool leaving like this??

Belle shrugged and shown her the trees and lake she saw. It looked quite impressive. Belle had to admit. Then Belle asked, "How are you doing? You excited for the summer?"
Psssh, so she wasn't all that busy afterall! Either that or she was and Lex was being a total bother now. Meh. The ride would end and she could be alone then.
"Ooooo, that's cool! But..." She paused as she looked through the window the girl had been looking through. As far as she was concerned one couldn't exactly
draw moving landscape...wasn't it a bit...hard...?
"Can you really focus on anything long enough to get a decent drawing done?" She didn't feel like letting her answer but she paused to give her a chance to before continuing.
"I mean you should just put those away and socialize. You guys have the best seats in the whole train to lounge around and junk so talk to people." That's what
she'd do if she were allowed in here but you know...chances of her getting a badge were zero to none so she was quite content with simply sneaking in here!
And on to her question.
"I'm fine and I guess I'm looking forward to summer..." Yeah...the more she thought about it was the more excited she was getting.
"What about you???" SPOILER!!: Vivi!

Vivi laughed out loud at the LOOKS Lex was sending at Milton, and she had to pry herself free of the death grip currently squeezing all blood flow from her hand. "Lex. It's okay. He was kissing someone else at the feast. I have a feeling Milton doesn't want to kiss me anymore."
Not that she blamed him. They'd been good for each other, but it hadn't ever been more than very (very) friendly. "But that guy wouldn't want to come with us anyway. He's allowed to be in here." Not that there was any indication that any of them were moving any time soon or anything.
"I wish you'd stop acting like we're all dying." But the little Gryffindor got another huggle anyway.
Her eyes narrowed at Milton when Vivi pulled out of her grasp. Yes she was going to blame him for this even if it wasn't his fault. Her eyes remained fixed on his face until she heard Vivi say he was kissing someone else at the feast. Then they wanted her going to the claw table to say her goodbyes?!?! Seriously?! People like him needed to be locked away in a dark room where they couldn't hurt the eye sight of others.
"Well thank Merlin!" She said at last.
"It's better he not kiss you any more any way." Nod. Now she could sleep well at nights. Thank you Milton. You finally did something right.
Oh and he wouldn't want to come. Even better because he wasn't invited -__- Now she was guaranteed to enjoy their party in peace. She looked up at her Mama Vivi with slightly crinkled brows.
"I'm not...I'm acting like you're all going on to bigger and better things without me." THAT was what she was doing and she would admit it too.
"When you're gone all I'll have to remember you is your tie and your brother...that's not enough. They'll have all of you out there with them." Wasn't this even
a little understandable? She was being pretty selfless compared to how she
could be handling this whole situation.

So,
Dylan was going to be social with these people. These people and their.....feelings.
Cue 'the face' as he entered.
Everyone was already present and accounted for...Well, the ones he felt were important. Selina...and Mildew...and Cookie. Yep, that was about it. Oh, and Branxton was here, too. Perfect.
"You lot." It was said by way of greeting. Hmph, Dylan was doing that a lot lately.
"What did I miss?" Nothing, he was sure.
And another one that didn't question why they were in there! Why couldn't they all be like them and NOT ask questions? Life would be a whole lot easier for all involved. He was either really cool with all this or otherwise really oblivious. Either way...
"Nothing much. We all just got here and we're waiting on Louisa now." she shrugged casually, trying to look like she belonged in here too.
"I guess you can say you came right on time in a way..." Yeah...he was late enough to miss the explanation therefore he probably wouldn't be wondering at all.
Good good.
