Laura sat down on her friends bed. "I know." Laura pouted. "It's just..." Laura stopped for a couple of minutes. "It's just that we don't seem to spend a lot of time together with Sophie and Carigan." Yeah Laura missed the midnight snacks and the pillow fights that they used to have together.
Laura looked at Ella and giggled. "I decided I was last night." Laura smiled, yeah she could do that right, she looked at her Bestie and gave her a hug before looking away from her friend.
She looked back after a few minutes and probably for the third time in her life she looked serious. "Well Oakey says I'm ugly and stuff." Laura pouted. "And then Lucas says I'm good looking and stuff." Laura sighed. "And I'm really confused." Laura really was.
Ella watched as Laura thought about what she wanted to say, wondering what her friend was thinking.
"It's just..." Just what? ...Oh. Ella frowned and nodded her head in understanding, totally getting what Laura meant.
"Yeah, I know. I guess we've all been really busy doing school stuff and we're pretty tired at the end of the day. It'll happen though, hanging out. I'm sure of it." And she gave her friend a small reassuring smile.
"Oh...interesting." Ella said quietly, before returning her head. Maybe that was Laura's new dream job or something...interesting.
"Laura..." Sigh.
"You and Oakey are always saying stuff to hurt each other because you're both upset. I doubt he means that...you're not ugly." And Oakey wasn't normally a bad guy, he was just hurt or something.
"And as for Lucas...I dunno. You're not ugly though. So I guess I wouldn't worry too much about that."
