She rubbed her eyes once again, hoping that it would make the words on the board clearer for her to see.
"Dia...mond,"she murmured to herself, trying her best to figure out the second line that the professor wrote on the board. Just then, she heard someone calling out her name. The voice was near and familiar. She stood up and found the sweet prefect passing her table. "Oh hey Kurumi,"she replied, adding a grin. "Oh, isn't the pro..."she paused, pointing at the back of the clssroom where she saw a human-like shadow as she entered the room. Then she got nothing. There was no professor at all. "P-professor??"she spilled out the word that she wanted to say. At this point, she was really scared and frightened now. What did she just see? A ghost, maybe? Her body shivered and she went Kurumi's table and sat besides her. She was too frightened that she clutched tight to her arm. She could still feel herself shivering from time to time. "Oh Merlin. What had I just seen?"she whispered to the lion.
Kurumi skimmed the page for something relating to the diamond spread they had been assigned to do, but was having a hard time finding anything until her eyes fell on the words
four rune spread and how it differed from three rune spreads. There was even a little diagram to the side showing the four runes in a diamond shape and Kurumi's cheeks flushed just a little for not thinking of this sooner.
Thank Merlin it was dark in the classroom, right?
"
Diamond Spread, also known as four rune spread, reveals the dynamic forces at work in a situation. It is the spread of choice for understanding a hidden conflict. The bottom rune represents the foundation that forms the basis of the issue. The left rune represents one of the forces acting on the issue at hand. The right rune represents another of the forces acting on the issue at hand. The top rune represents the conclusion to which your strivings can carry you," Kurumi read out loud to herself, which is why she didn't notice that Tiffany had joined her at her table.
Looking up from her book Kurumi cocked her head to the side at her question. "
Um...I don't know?" That was really the only way she could answer the younger lioness question.
The sixth year then reached into her bag lying on the ground for her black velvet one containing her runes and held it in her hands while she shook it absently. Now...what sort of question should she ask? Last term questions had all been pointed towards her mother, but now...now Kurumi wasn't sure what to ask - besides things involving relationships.
So...it was back to shaking her bag for a few more moments while she thought some more.
