Kennedy ignored the rest of what John had to say instead tried to focus on taking the Gryffindor down. All these past few week's frustration had finally blown up. It only made it worse that he had been taking Aurora's potion to counteract the memory potion, which only added more fuel to the fire.
The Prefect was suddenly being flipped over, his back hitting the stone floor as another forced got him in the face. It only took him a second to realized that it had been John's fist that had smashed against his face. Ignoring the coppery taste in his mouth and his labored breathing, Kennedy's body reacted defensively as it tried to push the Gryffindor off him, headbutting the guy in the face.
John's head was suddenly pushed back with force. He had been headbutted, by Kennedy. He placed his hands on his face as he felt a strong force of pressure, crack his nose. He tossed his body to ground as he covered his blood pouring, nose.
"I think you broke my nose, dude!" John said in nasal voice.
He quickly stood up and grabbed tissue, he glared at Kennedy and made his way to his common room. This was a very "interesting" day for John.
"I fought guys, trying to defend you before. Never did I think I'd fight you, trying to defend myself." John told Kennedy before he left. He had referred to the time he defended Kenny from the bullies, that haunted him.
