"You should ask me, Cornelius! Ask me if I'm with Joao. Ask him, too. But don't punish me because you made an assumption and don't punish me because I don't understand what you WANT," Aspen finally did look at him, albeit briefly.

EVERYONE wanted something from Aspen. Everyone. Even Cornelius wasn't happy with her anymore.

"No. I wouldn't be afraid. I'd have questions, but not fear. But that's fine. Be afraid. You can ALL be afraid of me, all of you. You. Paulie. Joao. All of you, I don't care." Which was a rare lie out of Aspen Odessa, a rare and obvious lie. She did care.

"Go obliviate yourself if it helps." And with that, Aspen turned and ran away.
