No, it wasn't survivable. Ellie was sure of it. These five months will drive her mad. For real this time.
However little, it helped to be outdoors. The seventh year felt slightly less trapped when the surrounding walls were far enough away that they didn't seem so tall. And she loved the winter air. That made her feel better, as well.
So, in an as-close-to-a-good-mood-as-she'll-get-while-at-Hogwarts, Ellie decided to approach a fellow seventh year that she hadn't spoken to in....quite some time, unfortunately. "Eve! Hi." Hi.
Evelyn was enjoying her walk, no doubt..but it was just too cold. Maybe she should just head back inside. The common room was way too noisy and crowded but sitting in front of the fireplace sounded like a really good idea at present. Pulling her jacket tightly around her, she was about to turn around and head back to the castle when she heard someone call her name..
She turned around and..
"Ellie!" Evelyn smiled. It had been a while since she'd seen her friend..not that she'd been looking forward to bumping into her..what with her crushing on the Ravenclaw's boyfriend and all. But, still. It was nice to see her again.
"How are you?"
