It seemed Selina had taken it for the more lighter side while it was at least half-serious on his own end. Not that he blamed her for why would one want to dwell on the negative possibilities of something. And Gideon wished he could as well it just lingered in the back of things. "Most certainly not," he had to agree. They each could be as volatile as a powder keg on the worst of days and when they were both in a mood no doubt everyone smart enough would likely vanish from their presence. For sure the very start of their relationship had been filled with such tension that they themselves had tried to stay away from each other just to get even just a momentary release from it.
Gideon watched as Selina shifted in place, lifting her head up from him and moving so they could both see each other better. And then she asked a question about their relationship that he wasn't sure he could ever have a good enough answer. How had they done it? Hadn't they just gone on and done what they did when they did it? No real rhyme of reason? "Um...I can't say that I have any clue," he finally answered truthfully.
If Gideon was concerned about something Selina could not tell. Her eyes flickered about the room like the flames in the fireplace. The redhead herself was not concerned so much about the rocky parts of their relationship. The thing she liked most about Gideon was that they were a usually drama-free couple. Of course, on occasion there would be some drama thag would enfold between the two of them. The worst of course between the two of them always involved Elektra. It was not that Selina was jealous of Elektra, she knew that Gideon would never do anything to hurt her, but whenever Elektra was involved things always went from bad to worse.
Shaking her head of thoughts she threw a toothy grin in Gideon's direction. Her insecurity with Elektra was not something she ever verbalized to Gideon, no need to mention something that was not even relative to their relationship. Besides, he was so secure in their relationship, as was Selina, that there was no need to bring it up.
It took him a while to answer her question and while she waited from him to respond she fiddled with the ends of her hair. Her blue eyes took in the red and she considered the prospect of changing it. Red fit every fiber of her being, but now that she was getting older Selina's appearance became more and more important to her. Maybe it we time for a change.
Finally, when he replied she shrugged her shoulders,
"Well whatever our secret it is as long as it works, right? Besides, I think you are the only person who could keep up with my sporadic behavior.". In fact, she was surprised Gideon had hung around as long as he had. She was enough to drive a person crazy.
