The little first year was a machine and Selina was always impressed by the girl's fierce raw talent at the sport. When the girl graduated her elder brother had to watch his step in the Quidditch realm. She could give him a run for his money.
But enough about Quidditch, which was a weird resolution for Selina to come to being that all she ever talked about was Quidditch. She was currently enjoying her time with one Mr. Gideon Gavin Gert.
Her blue eyes skirted over to the fire that was crackling in the fireplace. Each snap of wood sent a small firework looking explosion in the fire. After looking at the fire in silence for several seconds Selina spoke up again, "Hey... We've been together for over a year now. Isn't that weird to think about?". It was weird for her to think about being that she and Gideon were so comfortable with one another. He was right from the beginning: being friends first before being a couple made their relationship kind of easy and fun. Gideon gave an curious raised eyebrow followed by a bemused smirk as Selina's tone changed into her more authoritative 'captain' voice. Not that she was likely to see either given her position with her head on his shoulder. "Aye captain," he simply remarked showing he understood the meaning and the dangers should he do so. He fully suspected the talk of quidditch to continue, his companion quite obsessed with it for lack of a better word for it and that had been even before she had made captain. However he was greeted by quiet which he wasn't sure how to deal with it.
In the end he let the silence linger, his eyes staring ahead into the fire like the girl currently using him as a pillow. It made for warmth in the cool day and was mildly hypnotic if one starred too long into its depths. Probably the reason Gideon almost missed the start of Selina's words when she spoke and broke the quiet once more. Really...it had been a year already? Yeah, over a year if he thought about it. "Aye...it is," he agreed. "That and that I haven't messed anything up yet." Seeing as Selina was her first close friend and his first girlfriend at the same time he was bound to feel nervous of making a mistake.
