"Thank you," Neptune allowed, again curtsying with an exaggerated respect. "Your dress is very pretty, too." Read: Pick on someone your own age!
"Oh I disagree entirely, if you'll allow. I find... Legend's...aura entirely appealing. I wouldn't show up to a Ball on the arm of just any ole straggler" Pause. "Or carpetbag. We're very fashionable."
Even though Neptune HAD just been berating him for the shirt tail. TOLD YOU SO, LEGEND CHOSEN.
Or... Lysander...Jedidiah... Hayden... Shiloh... Merric... Chosen.

Abigail softly gasped at the girl's sarcasm and was just about to open her mouth to say that sarcasm on a young lady such as herself was very unattractive, she remembered that she wasn't her to be the nanny and had a speech that she needed to give soon. Best to let sleeping dragons lie and sort out her note cards.
"
Well, forgive me dear. This surely must be a sign of what people are calling a generation gap these days," she said with a soft toss of her head. Apparently scruffy was the new suave to this generation.
SPOILER!!: Yes indeed, but pay it no mind Mr. Chosen.

Being the underdog was better anyways.
He shook his head. "No it's fine, really." But it was rude to make assumptions, important looking lady.
...
He KNEW she was important. "Oh..well pleasure to meet you Miss Kaufman." If she had started off with that maybe he would have listened to her. He held out his hand, unsure if that was what he was suppose to do.
Unappealing aura? "That actually sounds cool." He whispered to Neptune. What was bad about that. Who cared about aura anyways? [/COLOR]
Ah yes, there was always two sides to every galleon and Abigail was, unfortunately, a little too behind schedule now to discuss them all. She did appreciate the boy's spunk as it reminded her of her husband back when they were both in school. Probably best not to bring this up as it could very well imply that the young lady with him would end up as someone like Abigail, and the American representative wasn't sure that the blonde would appreciate that very much.
"
Pleasure is all mine," she said, softly taking his hand and giving him a royal handshake.

He leaned in to whisper!add, "you might have noticed him waiting on everyone here." That's right, Recard, we ARE talking you down to the foreign dignitaries. And Wes WAS bragging on the young YETI a bit. The kid deserved a break on a celebratory day such as this.
Still holding on to the scruffy sunglassed boy's hand, Abigail cocked her head when the other young gentleman spoke to her again. "
Oh my kneazles, did he really now," she exclaimed as she shook his had with a little more vigor now. "
What a pleasure it is to be shaking the hand of a wizard who was able to accomplish so much despite his age." And scruffy appearance.
She then leaned to the side a bit as some more information was fed to her in a muffled voice. "
I BEG your pardon?" she gasped, eyeing the waiter as he began to make his way towards her with his tray of drinks. Well, she certainly wouldn't be accepting any more bubbly delights from him. "
Well, I suppose he is lucky to be doing even that. I don't think that the American Ministry would have been so kind."

She was beginning to flush in the cheeks and Armen began to wonder if it was the drinks. Maybe this should be her last.
"
Oh no, I do believe I have had quite enough of that," she said, waving the tray away gracefully. No, no more receiving anything from someone who was much worse than scruffy. Practically perfect people never permit sentiment to muddle their thinking, but THIS particular young man would be muddling her thinking for quite some time.
She picked up her empty glass that she had set down when speaking with Mr. Kim and placed it on his tray. "
Let this all be a lesson to you not to count your owls before they are delivered, yes?"
Stepping away from the
evil!waiter, Abigail nodded her head to each person present. "I'm afraid that if I linger too much longer I will be late for my own speech," she laughed as she began to take her leave and head towards the podium. "
Good day, Ministry people!"
Now, to finish sorting out those note cards on the way over...
