The figure has made it to Tater Tot's office! Quote:

Snoring portaits. Ooohh this could be funny. Biting its lower lip and grinning in excitement, the teddy and metal box were abandoned on the floor and it ran over to the very big and very tidy desk. Was there anything to have fun with? There was parchment! very neat, stacks of parchment! Dragging itself up onto the ornate armchair, it then pulled itself up onto the desk, with a little difficulty.
Once up here it had a pretty good view of the office. It was pretty and there were things! The portraits continued to snore, some of their subjects slumping in their frame.
Feeling a little rebellious, it decided to ... mess things up a bit. It was far too neat.
Bouncing excitedly, it kicked up a foot which sent a big pile of parchment crashing to the floor, it landed in a messy heap. It did the same to another similar pile, but got a little bored. Hopping down from the desk it eyed the pile of parchment, hhmmm. Another thought had occured to it.
Getting down on its knees, it took armfuls of the parchment and held it to its chest. Then with a small burst of energy sent them flying in the air, scattering all over the office floor. It wasn't quite like snow. The snow had been fun, but parchment didn't ahve the same effect.
Wiping its still inky hands on the carpet, it then turned to look at the photographs of various people sitting behind the big desk. Oohhhhh.
It took one of them, then returned to the foot of the stairs to collect its teddy and metal box. What else could it do now? it thought as it descended the stairs, its eyes scanning the shadows on the way down. It didn't want to get caught, nope, not yet. And has decided to mess with Professor Hadley's Arithmancy room: Quote:

Feeling rather tired, its little arms tensed from having to carry things for so long, it flopped to the floor and curled into a ball. The view was good from down here, and it saw books! smart people read those!
Having rested for a few minutes, it felt a little re-energised. Could it have more fun now? Oh yes it could.
Skipping over to one of the book shelves, it pulled out a thick and old looking volume from somewhere down the bottom. Simply because it was easier to reach. Flopping back down on the floor, it opened the cover and stared at the funny looking shapes inside. It couldn't read them, but it pretended it could. Then maybe it could be smart too.
After turning a lot of pages, it started getting bored again. Smart people must be very bored people, with all their boring books. Nope.
It went to close the book when it accidently tore out a page. The ripping noise filled the room, and made it excited! That sounded fun. It opened up the book again and inspected the torn out page. Then it took hold of another page, and gave it a good tug. RIP. Oohhhh fun! RIP. RIP.
It continued to rip pages until soon the whole book lay on the floor beside it. The cover was pretty and smart looking though, so it would keep it.
Now that it was rested and it had a new toy, it gathered the other things, the teddy, the metal box and the photo frame, and left the room. Peering around the corner of the door before sneaking off.
