Gideon watched as Selina shruged in answer before speaking in an attempt to try and explain what she meant by her question to which he listened carefully and tried to make his own answer to it. "I understand, though I doubt anyone really knows the truth to that. One can only theorize," the boy commented as he bit his lip gently in thought. "But it would nice to know." Knowing whether or not ones loved ones were still there up in the sky almost every night and watching over you...that would be awesome. Moving portraits could only show so much comfort in their presence and that was if you happened to be lucky enough to have one around.
Selina's eyes were fixated on the stars and the sky when she felt an arm hesitantly wrap around her shoulders. She turned her head to look at Gideon who was sitting there struggling between holding her and just resting his arm there. Taking the small hint she scooted a little closer to him so he could comfortably put his hand there and then she looked back out at the skyline.
It would be nice to know. If only he knew how nice it would be to know. To know if the people who had left you were still with you. To know if they were angry at the last moments they spent with you. To know if they were okay and safe. To know that they were watching out for you and loving you as much from where they were now as they did when they were still with you. Yes, it would be nice to know,
"Yeah... nice to know... thinking about it can just drive a person mad..."
