Kourtney carefully listened to Victoria as she explained how to cast the gluing spell. Lentesco....Lentesco...She repeated the incantation a few times before shaking her head. "No, I can do it." She said confidently.

With that, she removed her wand, moving it to the right and then left on a horizontal plane and intoned "Lentesco!!" She still held the decoration to the table and carefully let go, very pleased to see that it was now stuck. "Awesome!"

She glanced at the other side and nodded towards it. "Want to get that side?" Once they were finished this, they could start on the little levitation part of the activity. While she waited, she started stacking the party hats that she had grabbed earlier onto the table.

Once she and Victoria had finished setting the decoration to the table, Kourtney immediately turned and walked to the box that held the small bottles with the pale blue solution. She grabbed two, walked back to Victoria, and handed it to her. "There you are." She said with a smile. "Now...let's see if this is going to work."

The little Gryffindor's attention was pulled towards Kurumi as she flipped over the record and a new song filled the air. With a laugh of delight, she waved at the prefect and then opened the bottle. Bringing it to her lips, she drew a sip, concentrating on the memory that she had chosen. Perhaps...if time allowed, she could try a different memory...but for now, she would go with her initial thought.

Tapping her foot to the beat, she thought about the night that her mother had begun dancing again and the happiness and pride she had felt as she watched her leap and pirouette around the stage. She felt more cheerful already, a little light on her feet. She then thought about how her mother had called her on stage to her side.

A little lighter. Wait, was that....Yes! She looked down, noticing that the tips of her toes were barely touching the floor. Wheeee!

Her memory continued....her mother had made a speech about how Kourtney had encouraged her through her therapy and made it possible for her to dance again. She had only been seven at the time, but she could remember how hard it had been for her mother at that time, the constant struggle to work through the pain just to make that simple step.

As her thoughts turned towards sad memories, she felt herself dip a little. Uh-oh, she didn't want that!

She turned her thoughts back to her mother's speech and the loud applause that had followed it. Her mother had hugged her tightly and the two had danced together for a bit before they both walked off the stage. At that, Kourtney's heart felt lifted and she hovered a little higher in the air. It was so cool!!

And...and...she felt like dancing! Dancing in the air! She twisted her hips from side to side and did a kind slow motion wave. Now how cool would it be to have the entire class dancing?! "Hey, hey Kurumi!" She was continuing to float; though was moving closer to the prefect in the process. "Look! Air dancing!"
