Maybe you should just stop thinking about random things and just get back to studying. That really was the best idea at this point. But when Stella had mentioned if he had needed help catching up, he couldn't help but consider if that would be useful now since he had in fact missed a few things. "Hmm, now that you bring that up. I was wondering if you could help me out with History of Magic, this seem to be a bit more interesting than what I've seen before." In other words, it was just difficult. So as long as it was clarified in something that he could understand, he could get back to work without a problem.

After he spoke, he picked up his quill and started randomly drawing something on a spare piece of parchment out of boredom; it seemed as though time was moving way too slowly and even though he had the mountain of books next to him to tackle, he just was starting to have enough of it. What happened to being determined to get everything done here? Apparently the library was starting to get a bit more loud and he didn't want to have to leave again, where was the librarian now?
Stella was most definitely using her notes as a distraction from her embarrassment over slipping into French yet again. Even if she loved the language, she didn't need more reasons to be seen as not really a Hogwarts studen t when she definitely was one. She just was one who had a different place she'd come from, and no matter how much she wanted to say she wasn't French, it seemed her brain didn't want her to forget that she was honestly more French than English. Ten years didn't go away just because she'd rather remember when she was a toddler. She'd looked up again as Matt finally spoke, though. Relieved that he hadn't questioned her earlier slip.

"What about History of Magic?," she asked, remembering that lesson. Professor Scabior definitely had a different outlook on the subject than any of her previous History of Magic professors. Of course, there was also the fact he was easier to look at than most of her other History of Magic professors, but she was fairly certain that wasn't what Matt was confused about. In fact, as she tried geting back to actual studying in her thoughts, she noticed Matt had started sketching on some parchment and found it was easier to just move from distraction to distraction than just break free altogether. Leaning forward, she tried to see what he was drawing, notes abandoned for the time being.
