Between studying for the exams at the end of term, and the homework that was understandably starting to pile up as classes got underway, Stella was finding she didn't have much time to herself. Not to mention she hadn't really spoken to Matt after he'd gotten back, even though she'd said she would. Walking into the library with a few books and her school bag, as the common room had been just a bit too loud to concentrate in with what she was trying to work on right now, she headed straight for the reading area. At least that should be quiet, as it was part of the library. Libraries were always supposed to be quiet, as far as she knew. It seemed she was going to be able to accomplish two things at once, though, as she saw who was already in there. "You mean I'm not the only one buried in studying?," she asked quietly as she settled into a chair near Matt and his tower of books and took out her Charms notes. Maybe starting with that would be good, since it was one of her better subjects.
It seemed like going back home was really a bad idea since he hadn't expected to have missed so much over three days, but that didn't mean that he was about to just give up since that word didn't exist in his dictionary. The question was what to start first? Possibly History of Magic since it didn't seem so bad and it was second to Muggle Studies as Matt's favourite subject since he liked to know exactly what events and people were considered substantial even in current times. He grabbed the piece of parchment with the questions on it and read it over before looking back at the textbook, hmm this definitely wasn't going to be as simple as he originally thought it would be but at least he'd have the peace and quiet that he needed to be able to focus properly. Between the whole rule with having to yell while in the dungeons while wearing gloves that were your house colour was not only weird but it made for being able to think or even have a normal conversation nearly impossible and he couldn't handle that much more since it was almost like listening to his cousin speak.
As he had continued to read a paragraph that he had skimmed over before, he heard Stella's voice and smiled ever so slightly; he wanted to speak with her about things since he hadn't had the chance before he left but it seemed as though now was as good as time as any. "Nope, I've got to play catch up on top of studying. Plus I want to get in some revision for Ancient Runes, so I'm pretty busy now." Even though there was more than enough work as it was for him, he somehow felt the need to see how well he could remember at least writing something in Medieval rune.
Okay, Stella's here and all you can focus on is school work. Is there something wrong there? He wasn't letting himself get distracted by anything since he knew that he had to focus.
