And a good thing she did too, the greenhouses were in a dreadful state. She didn't even want imagine how stressful it would have been had she not rturned early.
Seren sipped her tea after pouring one for Fina.
Gosh she loved the smell of fresh peppermint. So clean and crisp, and very good for circulation. Temporarily having distracted herself with inhaling the sweet aromas from the tea, Fina had completely lost herself and those in the room. Had Seren said something? Everyone just seemed to be talking around her or transfixed in their own thoughts.
But the words Maya and Australia had brought her back. Seren never met Maya Saylen? Staring in disbelief for a moment, she then smiled briefly in understanding. "Oh sorry. Maya was the former Magical Creatures professor. She left just before you got here." Because even in the short time Fina had been there, she'd already evidently seen her fair share of professors resign. Quote:

Hadley? Suddenly the gears in his brain began to turn. Ah! Another person from his school days. "Josephina Hadley? As in the Josephina who could always be found in the library?" He knew his fellow bookworms. "Everett-or...Dash actually. Yes. Dash Scabior." He didn't even go by his legal name at school. That wit - Josephina was sure she had heard it before. Blinking a few times, she took a quiet sip of tea to keep herself from answering back to his rhetorical remark.
That was when he said something else that struck her. His strange familiarities weren't just for nothing - she did know him! "That would be I," she said proudly, as he introduced himself. Not that it was truly necessary, but a refresher was nice. "Dash... that smart aleck Slytherin. Yes. I remember you. How have you been?" Quote:

Asking for directions from student's who passed by had only lead him in an even wronger direction.
After walking for atleast a good 2 hours Edvard finally found the staff room located on the ground floor. His feet were aching badly and the telescope he was carrying was at this point weighing tons. Opening the door he was more focused on the staff sitting in there then the ground and therefore didn't see the threashold and with his usual luck jammed his right foot right into it. Falling forwards he managed to keep a secure hold on the telescope as he landed on the cold, stone floor with a big "thump!" Oh! She was late on the consolation party but it seemed that Edvard had found his way to the staff room! "Edvard! How delightful to see you again! How are you?" Besides, undoubtedly a nice headache. "You finding everything satisfactory?" Quote:

"Thank you." Althea took the paper and unfolded it scanning for the article.
Althea did smile and WAS about to say something conversational, but then the article caught her attention and she glared at the newspaper.
"A Blacksmith?" Ridiculous. She snapped the paper shut crossly and slid it across the table to Josephina, crossing her arms across her chest and causing her tattoo to retreat in apparent alarm under her sleeve once more.
Hogwarts was DAMNED lucky to have her and the Daily Prophet CLEARLY hadn't done any research.
Thea didn't much care about the slander towards whoever the former healer was, or the Law Enforcement branch of the ministry, or even towards Tate who had already turned Althea frosty towards him, but she was proud of her own achievements and immediately irritated to be reduced to 'blacksmith' when really there was so much more to what she did and she truly WAS the best in her damned field.
She sipped her drink and sat there trying to calm herself down, but building into a frosty sort of tension all the same, as if the temperature of the room had suddenly dropped several degrees.
After she handed over the trash news article, Fina regretted it almost instantly. Considering the reaction that Althea seemed to be giving, now Fina understood a minute too late why Tate wanted them to forget the article. Not them, but more just Althea.
The brief conversation thus far with Dash though had Josephina thinking back to her school days some more. And with Thea preoccupied with reading the article, Fina could think more. In particular, she recalled a scene with her older sister when she was just a mere third year, asking about the 'girl with the glasses', whom Fina knew was in her sister's house. "I know you." Fina said suddenly.
