He stared at her as she looked off. He glanced at Mr. Stryker and a couple other dancing couples before returning his gaze to Ellie. "Are you alright?" No, obviously not.
Maybe Ellie was overreacting about this a little bit... BUT, she didn't care. She was frustrated at herself and this stupid dance class. She had so looked forward to it, but now she just wanted it to end.

And his question seemed a little silly to her. Did she look alright? Probably not. Did she sound alright? Probably not. So, was she alright?
