Dallin bit his lip. "It's a bit... hard to explain," he told her honestly. "I don't even know really. We were never too close as it was, when I was growing up." Heh. Ahem. He smiled when she kissed him, then he quickly kissed the corner of her mouth. He couldn't help it; he just liked to kiss her. "So," he said, his voice suddenly cheerful, "What do you think your mom will think when she sees me?"
Watching him talk about his father was a little difficult. Ellie could tell that his relationship with his dad now wasn't as good as it used to be, that was apparent. When he started talking about growing further apart, around the time that he discovered he was a wizard, Ellie frowned slightly. She could only imagine how rough it would be growing up the only wizard in your house. What if no one understood you? Ellie gave him a light squeeze around the waist.
"That must be hard. I'm sorry." She said quietly. She didn't know why she felt the need to apologize. But there wasn't much else she could do at this point.
"Thank you... for telling me." Ellie added, because she couldn't imagine how difficult it would be to talk about that.
Ellie could help but grin when Dallin kissed the corner of her mouth. It was a good thing they liked each other so much, eh? The cheery attitude in his voice left a smile on her face as she thought about his question.
"I have no idea." Ellie said honestly with a little laugh.
"Probably that I have good taste in guys." Ellie said with a wink.
