This right here was a reason he had been so anxious for the train. The train meant that he was just that much closer to spending the summer with Ellie. And even though that meant ... some not so good stuff, there had to be good stuff mixed in somewhere. That's what he was looking forward to. "How are you?" Just a polite, casual question. No hidden reference to any curse or anything. O_O
Aw, he was helping her with her stuff. Ellie had great taste in guys.
I mean, duh, just look at him. Ellie was about to respond when she found his lips on hers. She smiled. That was a nice feeling. Ellie was looking forward to the summer. A few days at home with her mum, and then Dallin would be over. Despite what was happening, Ellie was sure the summer would be great because Dallin would be with her.
This time, she didn't take his question quite as literally. They had already been through that at the feast. Now, they just needed to look forward to going home. Ellie sighed with a smile.
"I'm okay. I can't wait to see my mum." Ellie took a seat by the window.
"What about you?" She asked him.
