Scary thought.
He pushed it away as she mentioned the Hufflepuffs and he shook his head while holding a smile,
"No, I actually wanted to ask you about one in particular," he said, before looking her way,
"Conan." But he didn't ask anything else. And he was kind of hoping that Sierra wouldn't ask anything because now he had no real excuse as to why he brought him up in this conversation.
That's why he didn't answer her question.
Oh, great. He actually looked down this time.
"With a bat, like...taking out the Seeker," that was rule number one for Beaters. Yet, it was clear that she wasn't going to do that. So, nervousness aside, he looked up and smiled,
"I actually do." PLENTY of new things, or well, not so much...BUT...he was going to share them with Sierra, of course. Just...hold on.
He opened up his journal and took out one
piece of parchment he'd written for her.
"This is for you, I have everything in my journal," this was so Sierra didn't feel the need to write anything else, and they could make corrections on it as well.
OOC: Final color, came from this meaning. I swear everything Treyen wrote has a meaning *nods* Sierra had completely blown off the comment about seeing any Hufflepuffs around the school lately. She only really got along with about three of them,
total, and that included the boy sitting across the table from her. She'd actually forgotten Treyen mentioned something about it until he brought it up again. She looked up at him, her facial expression silently questioning him.
"Oh, ...yeah. Conan," she said, shrugging a bit.
"Yeah, he's a nice boy." He'd brought her flowers for Valentine's Day, but she choose not to give Treyen that little detail. Maybe he already knew, though. He was a Hufflepuff, too, so maybe he'd caught up with Conan before the boy had left their common room. She looked at him for a few seconds longer, waiting for some further explanation or comment, but none ever came. Hmm. She guessed the boy was just questioning whether or not his friend had been seen out and about.
She laughed when he answered her question about taking him out.
"Oh, come on, Treyen. I'm not that scary, am I?" she asked. Argh. It kind of concerned her that a boy like Treyen might be nervous around her. She wanted
him to
like her, not be leery of her.
"The only time I'd take you out is..." She paused and gave him a grin. The type of grin that said she was either had a trick up her sleeve or was otherwise up to no good.
"...is if I took you out for ice cream." Yes, Sierra Greingoth was blunt and bold.
"We should really hang out sometime."
Perhaps on a Saturday when Ravenclaw will be conveniently busy on the Quidditch pitch?
She stopped all other line of thinking when he passed a piece of parchment to her. She was quiet for at least three solid minutes while she read over everything and let it all sink in. He'd finished
their potion. Without her. Sure, they could make trial and error corrections now, but he'd
finished it. Ugh, and what made it worse is that he was sitting there thinking he'd done something
amazing for her. Instead, he'd left her out. The jerk. She said nothing but quietly packed her belongings into her bag. She stashed the parchment in there, as well.
"Well, ...I see you've done your homework," she said.
"I have to get going." ...
"I'll see you around?" She looked at him, wishing she could say so many more things to him, but in the end just sighed and turned to walk away. On the way out the door, she stopped by Lafay's desk.
"Bye, Professor," she said, in a very soft tone.
"Thanks for letting us use the lab." Then she turned on her heels and left the lab.
OOC: Karla!!! This is all IC. Sierra may be all mehh right now, but I'm not. Thanks for typing that up for us (it looks awesome!), and we'll have them meet up again soon!
