Selina listened to the Professor as she called the class to attention. Bentley said that she was closing down the lesson and that time was closing up. Selina sighed in frustration. She had not even finished her work yet. She had been too busy waiting to get the first sample. The tank had been so crowded she was one of the last to get to it. But she was pleased to hear that she could finish up quickly. So she looked down at her notes and began to work.
She took one of the smaller tanks and measured out the clay in a cup to 30 centimeters. She checked it to make sure that it was the right measurements. It seemed off to her and it seemed to continue to decrease. So Selina took a look at the bottom of the cup and saw a hole. Quickly she grabbed a new cup, measured, and filled her tank with 30 centimeters.
Next Selina took her fingers and began to mold the sample she had extracted to fit in a 5 centimeter deep hole in the clay. She assumed this was for planting and she was right. Once it was in the thing was planted and seemed perfectly sound.
Then she added three liters of sea water to water the plant in the clay. It was an odd request but she did as she was instructed. Finally she added a drop, a singular drop, of Mooncalf Solution to the plant.
When it was all done she began to pack her things and smiled at the Professor on her way back to land, "Thank you ma'am. The lesson was great. Enjoy the rest of your day."
