"I didn't think I wanted to come back. I really didn't. When I got here I was miserable. And then when I left I was even more miserable. I toyed with the idea of not coming back at all. Just leaving for France and staying away from here. But... when I came back in the gates after being gone I felt much differently." Mhm.

"Sounds like it was an amazing trip!" Alice responded thoughtfully with a warm smile. It had been ages since she had seen or spoken to Salander, which was almost as blasphemous as how long it had been since she'd talked to Lexi. "I've never met Patroclus, but he seems nice enough from what I've heard," Alice said with a nonchalant wave of the hand.

Alice appreciated the little squeeze that Lexi gave her. She had been such a strong support system for her at Hogwarts last year, and it was something that Alice would never forget. Her smile widened even larger as Lexi suggested the idea of coming to stay with her. "That would be great!!" Alice exclaimed with a little bounce in her chair. "If you don't mind me asking, and forgive me if you've already mentioned at some point, but where do you live?" Alice was honestly drawing a blank and could not remember for the life of her whether Lexi lived in Europe or the states...faulty memory already at such a young age.

Alice's lips and brows furrowed downwards when Lexi said she was thinking about not coming back. "But why wouldn't you come back?" Alice asked, hoping she wasn't prodding too much. "I would miss you too much if you hadn't come back!"
