'Oh, come on, you don't have enough friends? I think you're very popular.' Ariadne observed. 'And you're far from boring. You're not like everyone else, and that clearly caught my attention.' she added.
Why were boys so oblivious sometimes? 'Yes, you are good looking, but I'm saying this for the final time so you'd better let it sink in. However, I'm sure you'll hear it again from someone else pretty soon. Who do you resemble most, your mum or your dad?' the girl asked.
"You're on." Mordred returned the serious look Ari gave him. He too will try his very best to get the House Cup. The Sorting Hat hesitated?
"Maybe you doubted yourself. I'm sure you'll do well here." he said as he looked around the Gryffindor table.
"Popular?" Mordred repeated.
"I don't think so." he shook his head and grinned.
"I'm really not the friendly type. I'm just glad people come up to me and start the conversation, but I don't consider that as being popular." he said.
"A lot of people say I look more of my mother, but the personality is a lot like my dad." he said.
"I know that for sure, because Mother was the sociable one, and I'm not." Mordred chuckled and said
"Thank you" for Ari's compliment. He, however did not dare let the compliment sink in. It was really weird to get such compliment for a boy who never cared about his looks. He doubted he'll get the compliment a lot.
