There were a few Gryffindors she knew that still had the power to change that like Josh who had been a notorious detention visitor during the last school term. And there were the new first years who had proven themselves to be a bit of a handful already on the train. Sophie pulled a loose brown strand back behind her left ear. "It's going good. We've had a stomach ache and a few homesick first years but otherwise nothing big that we can't handle." Remembering Patroclus welcome roar she added with a small grimace "Patroclus i think scared them a bit since he gave them a welcome roar when they sat down. It was so loud that my ears started ringing. You must've heard it over here too?" Giving a little wince, Ivory looked over at the rowdier students crossing her fingers. "Lets hope talking about it doesn't jinx it. It'd be great for everyone to get through this positive."
Aw a stomach ache and homesickness. She remembered her first time in the Great Hall vividly. If she recalled her stomach ache was because of her homesickness. Why, to be completely honest she had a bit of one now but that was most likely attributed to having not eaten today. When was the feast going to appear, anyways?
An amused look on her face, Ivory turned slightly to see if she could spot her fellow prefect from here. "A roar, really?" Thinking back now, her eyes widened in realization. "Wait, that was him?" Giggling, she leaned forward crossing her ankles under the table. "I thought someone had brought one of the "GO Gryffindor" lion hats." With a rueful shake of her head, she grinned. "I'm not going to lie that roar was quite impressive."
Giving a laugh at a sudden thought, she continued. "It's a shame eagles don't have any distinctive call. I'm sure if I suddenly squawked or gave a bird call everyone would give at me "crazy girl" looks."
