Jake let his eyes linger on the sealed letter for a moment before glancing to the man's face again. "I won't keep you for much longer, sir. Just one more thing... my first question? You said you'd come back to it."

Meaning he didn't feel like he was prying.

The smile and the nod were what Ikenna had been waiting for and, now that he had them, he ran his finger along the edge of the envelope thoughtfully. Sensing Jake's lingering look, Gevrik swiftly tucked the owl post away into an inside pocket of his suit.

"Yes, the first question." Ikenna smiled again and settled back into his seat. "You asked if I were a legilimens. If I recall correctly...you also gave me your reasons for asking...?"

One of the man's eyebrows twitched, as if that was as close as he could get to fully raising it, and then he continued onward. "To make a long story short, Jake, I will just answer yes to your question."
