"Um, so how are you? How's... school?" Hold on, hold on. He asked her about school?! They were on a date and he asked her to talk about the most boring subject of all times; School. Great. Kill him, kill him now.
It looked like Alex was having an internal fit, but Ellie just smiled at him. It was cute. Then he asked her about... School? Hmm. Not exactly what she had in mind as a date opener, but she laughed lightly. She looked down at her hands and twirled her snake ring.
"Well uh... I've already got one Professor to hate me." One down, six to go.
"But other than that it's great." She chuckled. She looked back up at Alex.
"And you?" She smiled again.
