Entering the office more or less behind the other students while still trying to seem like he was leading... did not work out so well for Fletcher. He ended up somewhat in the corner while the Greingoths sat down and the Slytherin prefect somehow carried on a silent conversation with Lafay.
What was up with that? The Glitterpuff folded his arms and leaned forward from his corner to see if he could read lips. It was impossible. They must have cast some charm to keep things from being overheard.
Well whatever it was, since he couldn't hear it he obviously thought it didn't sound as interesting as Rae's surfing plan. His girlfriend had received permission again (WOOT WOOT!), was getting ready to leave now and Fletcher hadn't even said a word yet!
"Rae... wait!" Fletcher whispered urgently, his hand going out to hopefully catch her arm before she got out the door. If not... er... he should probably address The Basilisk anyway.
He cleared his throat and let his hand drop. Yeahhhh... maybe she hadn't seen that. "Professor Lafay, ma'am," he straightened his posture and smiled cheerfully. "How are you?"
