As Professor Lafay cast the charm to stop the others in the room from hearing their conversation, Iris found herself twiddling with the buttons on her school robes. "Well... This is something I've been reading about and thinking about since my Third year..." Iris started, looking directly at Lafay, "I'm seriously interested in becoming an Animagus." She said, plainly and simply. The prefect didn't need to beat around the bush with this.
" ... The reason I came to see you is because I figured you know me... And I want to know if you think I'd be able to do it." Iris bit her lip and moved her gaze away from the Potions Mistress for a moment. " ... and more importantly, I was wondering if you think I'd be able to do it in just a year. I noticed at the Feast that Professor Kingsley was gone... and I don't see any new teacher wanting to help a student become an Animagus in their first year of teaching..." *
